Where is Spirit of Cricket?

India, which is the country in which Cricket is a religion and great batsman Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar known by GOD OF CRICKET, I don’t understand that what is this happening here on the name of game. Some cricketers are going against to their own cricket board. The fresh examples are Lasith Malinga(Sri Lanka) and Chris Gayle(West Indies). Here we will talk about only Chris Gayle. RCB (Royal Challenger Bangalore) has bought Chris Gayle in 2.5 crores which is too much of the fee which he gets from West Indies cricket board. He has left the one day matches series against Pakistan. Gayle is a blaster batsman and a good off spinner too. In short words we can say that he is one of the world’s best all-rounders. Has cricket spirit finished from player’s heart and mind? I think it is just because of the money which players get from IPL. We can understand that money matters but it means not  that you would forget your country. After asking a question from Gayle on this topic, he replied that West Indies cricket board is doing partiality with him which is the only reason that he left the series against Pakistan. I think that this is only an accuse to play in IPL. Gayle has made a century in his 1st match of IPL 2011. He has proved himself by this inning, 102 runs on just 55 balls. He has proved that he is still a blaster batsman. If West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) really doing partiality with him then this inning would teach a lesson to WICB. I pray for Gayle to get his position back in Cricket of West Indies. Gayle has done a wrong thing that he has left the series against Pakistan and playing in IPL.

Malinga Retires from Test

A test match series is going to be started from 15 may 2011 between Sri Lanka and England. Sri Lankan Cricket board has announced that every Sri Lankan player must back till than 5 may 2011 for practice and to attend the camp in Sri Lanka, while IPL would finish at 28 may 2011. So Malinga has announced his retirement from test matches because he is injured. One thing which I do not understand that if Malinga is injured and can’t play against England then how can he play in IPL? The answer of this question is that he is giving priority to IPL than his country. He is a very good bowler and playing in IPL team Mumbai Indians in captainship of great batsman Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin believes that Mumbai Indians would reach In final definitely. Malinga is a trump card for team.

Sri Lankan this speedster, whose sling-arm bowling action and devastating Yorkers proved to be a nightmare for batsmen the world over, announced his retirement from the test cricket because of a “long-standing degenerative” knee injury.

Accused of choosing the cash-rich IPL ahead of national duties by his own cricket board, the 27-year-old Malinga said that he would continue to be available for ODIs and T-20 games for his country.

The surprise announcement from Malinga, regarded as the fastest bowler produced by Sri Lanka till date, is being interpreted as a move to put an end to the selection dispute with his cricket establishment which wanted him to return from IPL for a rehabilitation programmed.

“Although I am sufficiently fit to play both ODI and T-20 cricket, I have a long-standing degenerative condition in my right knee that needs to be carefully managed,” Malinga said in a statement.

“The condition relates directly to the chronic knee injury I sustained playing or Sri Lanka in Australia back in February 2008, an injury that prevented me from playing ODI cricket for 16 months,” he added.

Malinga, who pulled out of Sri Lanka’s upcoming test tour of England citing fitness woes, has been leading the wicket’s tally for Mumbai Indians in the ongoing IPL. His decision to pull out of country’s Test tour irked Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officials, who found it “awkward” that he was continuing to play in IPL though he was not fit for national duty. Malinga clarified that condition stops him from playing in the Test formal only.

“The injury was a career-threatening injury and my orthopedic surgeon was of the opinion that given his experience with other professional athletes in Australia I was very fortunate to play again,” he said in statement.

In last I would like to say that according to me it is just an accuse to leave the test series against England. The former captain of Sri Lanka, wicket keeper batsman Kumar Sankara is also in favor of Malinga that if he is not able to play in long-standing Test matches then his decision is really great because if Malinga want to play ODIs and T-20 matches permanently then he needed to take retirement from Test matches to save and long life of his cricket career.

GOD & GOD of Cricket

(Satya Sai & Sachin)

24 April 2011, 7.40 am when the Great Personality Satya Sai Baba has left this world and went to Heaven. Baba’s all pupils are in whole of the world. These pupils believe that Baba would come back just as CHRISTION who came back in world after 3 days of His death. God never die.

Again 24 April 2011, this is the date when Cricket’s God, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was born. When Sachin got this news then he was in a shock. Sachin,s wife Anjli was also in shock. Sachin closed himself with family in hotel’s room. He put a DO NOT DISTUREBED card at room’s door. Sachin is also a pupil of Satya Sai Baba. Sachin went to Baba for His blessings to win World Cup 2011. On dated 2 April 2011. Sachin’s dream was to win a world cup for his country and made proud every Indian to proud. Sachin’s this dream came to true. Sachin Known as God of Cricket. He refused to celebrate his birthday because Satya Sai Baba was in ventilator.

Sachin went to Puttaparthi to Baba’s paying homage.

with his wife. He stopped there till 45 minutes. His eyes were wet at that time. He wept as like a child.while paying homage to Sai Baba at Sai Kulwant hall.  I have seen him emotionally like this never before.  Really, he is a great personality. He told that Baba has given a golden bat to him as a gift. He shared that when he took the gift with one hand only then he came to knew that it was very heavy. Then he need to take help of another hand.

Year 1997, Sachin met Baba first time and at the same time he came to knew that the person in front of him is GOD.

One more thing that Sachin put a snap of Sai Baba in his cricket kit for 24 hours.

“Satya Sai Baba gives me power,” said Sachin.

Satya Sai Baba, we all love u, we never forget you because you are always in our hearts.

21 years of Cricket's GOD

It has been quite sometime, since I have written something on the blog. But what better occasion can you get, It is 2 decades ago that Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar set his foot on the cricket field. Cricketing world then knew that a genius has arrived and will rewrite almost every record in the book. It has been quite a journey that even Tendulkar might not have scripted better.

Playing alongside three generations of cricketers, he mastered the art of batting to mere perfection. He is an architect at work when he is on song. Adjectives and superlatives aren't enough to describe the caliber of a man who has been carrying Indian cricket on his shoulders for the past 20 years.

Playing in the era of Ponting, Lara& Sachin is still regarded as the best of the lot. From a school boy who along with his friend Vinod Kambli set a world record partnership, to a man who is regarded as the "God of cricket", Sachin has always been down to earth. This is one qualities that sets him apart from many.

Many feel he is the one that stands close to the Aussie great Sir Donald Bradman, but Tendulkar played cricket which is much more demanding than in the sixties.

There might be fools still debating his class, but fools are meant to be so. On the eve of his 21 years in cricket, I congrats him to be a part of World Cup 2011 winning team.

"It’s wrong,"  said by Dhoni

It is the Indian batting that came under heavy criticism after the loss at Guwahati. But the match was lost even before a ball was bowled. Dhoni won the toss, and to everybody's surprise opted to bat first. It doesn't require rocket science to know that 9am start would support the fast bowlers, and especially in the subcontinent it is an advantage worth grabbing. Guwahati traditionally has not been a batting paradise of late. It is a type of wicket where the ball tends to stops after hitting the deck. So the flashy Indian batsmen should have given more value to the wicket instead of hitting through the line of the ball. So batting first is not a great decision at all at Guwahati.

Dhoni may have his own way of looking at things. He might have thought that pitch would slow up further in the second innings, and would help his spinners. But it is not such a great idea when you are 3-2 down. Indians lost half the side in the first half an hour of play.170 is not a score that can intimidate the Aussies. It is always a cake walk for the world champions. India might not be doing well while chasing in the recent past, but it is not worth a gamble to bat first on this occasion.

But credit has to be given to Australia for the way they played in this match. Despite the injuries to key players, Aussies played their best cricket so far in this series at Guwahati. Douglas Bollinger and Mitchell Johnson bowled beautiful lines to rattle the Indian top order.

They used the early morning advantage and swung the ball either ways. Indian captain might regret his decision to bat first, but when you loose the series 4-2, there is nothing much one can do, other than regretting his flaws.

I hope the next time he wins the toss, he chooses the best cricketing option rather than his own mind or past history.

Have a good luck for future Mr. Dhoni.

Who is Great?  SACHIN or LARA

One thing that is a point of discussion in the cricketing world at present is "who is the best batsman, Lara or Tendulkar"? After the scintillating innings at Hyderabad Sachin made it clear that he is next to nobody. But the debate still continues because cricket pundits still have their own way of looking at things.

Glenn Mcgrath Thinks Lara is the best batsman he has ever bowled to because he thinks Lara in form is more difficult to get out. On the other hand Ricky pointing who is the next best after the duo, thinks that tendulkar is the best because of his consistency over a period of 21 years.

Ian chapel once said "if you put a gun on my head and ask to choose one of them, i would choose Lara because there is no player who plays spin as gracefully as him". But he also said "one thing that amazes me about Tendulkar is that being such a short man he generates tremendous power of the back foot". He says Sachin is a better player of fast bowling, but only slightly.

Wasim akram believes that sachin is by far the best he has bowled to. But contrastingly his bowling partner Waqar younis feels that Lara is the most toughest to bowl to.

Renowned cricket commentator Tony greig rates Tendulkar way above Lara". The way Sachin has handled himself is quite amazing and he is a role model for budding cricketers world over"

Even Lara once said "Sachin is a genius. I'm a mere mortal."

But one thing is for sure we are privileged to watch two of the greatest batsman of all time. Brain Charles Lara and Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar will be two names that will always be synonymous with the word called "greatest".

IPL : What went wrong with all teams

The champions league T20 has entered the semifinal stage, and the one question that is on every cricket fan's mind is what went wrong with the IPL teams. The three IPL teams played dismally.

Deccan chargers had two close games and lost in the final over in both. But that is no excuse. They lacked the batting power which is needed to win a T20 game. Gilchrist, Rohit sharma, Styris none of them played to their potential. The bowling looked good in bits and pieces. But that didn't even help them enter the super eight.

Bangalore looked like entering the last four, but had their problems with bowling. The team looked superb in their batting, with kallis and RossTaylor scoring the bulk of runs. But in a format like T-20 you cannot afford to have a weak link. Bowling let them down in the opening match against the cape cobras. Needing to win 2 matches in the super eight stage, they managed only one win, ending their story.

Delhi daredevils lacked consistency and momentum. The team which boasts of the great Glenn Mcgrath had its moments, but failed to deliver during the key moments of the competition. One day the team looked great in bowling and on the other day it looked great in batting. The two disciplines in the game never clicked together. Gambhir, Dilshan didn't do justice to their talents.

All in all the three IPL teams had a disastrous champions league that they would like to forget. They would certainly like to do better in the second edition of the champions league T-20.
